‘K-Pop Demon Hunters’ OST Tops Billboard Hot 100 and Billboard 200

The original soundtrack (OST) of Netflix’s animated film K-Pop Demon Hunters has achieved a historic milestone, simultaneously topping the Billboard Hot 100 singles chart and the Billboard 200 albums chart in the United States.

Billboard announced on Sept. 15 (local time) that the track Golden secured No. 1 on the Hot 100 for the fifth consecutive week. Earlier this week, the full OST also debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200, marking the rare accomplishment of dominating both major charts at the same time.

This is the first time in nearly five years that a K-pop album and track have simultaneously taken the top spots on both charts, following BTS’s BE and Life Goes On in 2020.

In addition to Golden, three other tracks from the OST — Your Idol (No. 4), Soda Pop (No. 5), and How It’s Done (No. 8) — also entered the Hot 100 top 10, underscoring the global popularity of the soundtrack.
